It's been...one week!

Or so the song lyrics go!

One week into my new website, and new blog. Thank you to everyone who has visited, it is heartening to know that you've stopped by.

Writing-wise, quite a few things have happened this week! First off, I had a lovely response from a publisher who'd read the manuscript of 'An Artist's Muse'. Whilst they couldn't offer me a publishing contract, they were complimentary about the manuscript itself, which is still encouraging. I know that the quest to be published is never an easy one, and so any response spurs me on!

Secondly, I have entered my short story 'The Watts House' into a competition hosted by 'Mslexia'. Fingers crossed for a positive result. It has been a while since I entered into a writing competition, and I always do so with trepidation... but "you have to be in it to win it", I suppose!

Thirdly, of course, I hope this website will continue to have visitors who are interested in my writing. I would like to post some examples of my writing on this blog in the future - I have begun to jot down ideas for a dystopian novel, which is turning out to be no easy task!
